- Hero Xpulse 200 4V teased ahead of launch
- Likely to be more powerful than the existing bike
- New colour options on the cards
Hero MotoCorp is prepping to launch a new four-valve version of its adventure motorcycle, the Xpulse 200, in India. After it was spied testing on public roads, we recently brought you the clearest images of the bike from one of Hero’s dealer events. While these sightings were already a clear indication of its imminent launch, Hero has now made it even more obvious by releasing a teaser video of the Xpulse 200 4V.
The teaser video gives a few quick glimpses of the motorcycle, without revealing it completely. It shows the blue and white front fender, representing the new paint scheme that we have already seen in spy shots. Moreover, going by the clearly visible knobby tyres, the motorcycle in the video is equipped with Hero’s Rally Kit.
Talking about the biggest change in the motorcycle, the inclusion of a four-valve head will help the Xpulse in cruising comfortably at speeds higher than its existing iteration. The motorcycle should feel more relaxed at higher revs. Having said that, the power output numbers are unlikely to witness a drastic change. At present, the Xpulse 200 produces 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm from its 199.6cc, oil-cooled motor.
As of now, the Hero Xpulse 200 sets you back by Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom) and the upcoming changes might demand a premium of nearly Rs 8,000-10,000.
