Hero MotoCorp’s adventure motorcycle, the Xpulse 200, recently received a mechanical update in the form of a four-valve head. We rode the motorcycle to find out how much of a difference this had made. You can read our experience here. In this post, let’s check out our hand-picked images from the review of the motorcycle.
With the inclusion of a four-valve head, the power and torque output figures have also seen a marginal hike. The motorcycle produces 18.38bhp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm now.
As it was expected, the Xpulse 200 feels livelier in the mid and higher range of the rev band while also being more refined between 80 to 90kmph of speeds.
The engine also felt slightly more refined than the 2V version. However, mild vibrations start creeping in from 6,000rpm onwards and go on increasing with the revs.
Hero has also worked on improving the illumination from its LED headlamp by making it slightly brighter. Although it’s marginally better, the high-beam reach still needs to be longer.
On the design front, the Xpulse 200 continues to be the same rugged and tall motorcycle clearly indicating its adventure credentials. To add a pinch of freshness, Hero has included new paint schemes and decals which look more attractive.
The hardware package retain the 21-18-inch spoke wheel combination coupled with a long-travel suspension setup. The whole recipe delivers one of the best ride qualities we have experienced so far.
The overall ergonomics continues to be extremely comfortable too. While it feels pretty neutral while being in the saddle, standing up ergos might feel a bit odd to some riders.
The new Hero XPulse 200 4V has been priced at Rs 1,28,150. In comparison, the two-valve variant is available at Rs 1,23,150. Hero MotoCorp will sell both variants in the country.
