Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the new Xpulse 200T 4V in the Indian market. This motorcycle is available in a single variant and it has been priced at Rs 1,25,726 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). In this article, we list the alternatives to this newly launched Xpulse variant.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Rs 1.22 lakh)
TVS Motor Company’s four-valve equipped Apache RTR 160 4V is available from Rs 1.22 lakh onwards. This price is for the base model. However, the higher-spec version with more features is available at Rs 1.29 lakh. The mechanical specifications on all variants include a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that makes a maximum output of 17.3bhp at 9,250rpm and peak torque of 14.7Nm at 7,250rpm. The highest-spec version of this motorcycle comes with a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster and a dual-channel ABS. The base model, on the other hand, gets a drum brake at the back and a single-channel ABS.
Yamaha FZS-FI (Rs 1.22 lakh)
Yamaha Motor India’s FZS-FI, too, is available at a relatively affordable price tag than the Xpulse 200T 4V. This motorcycle is the premium version of the FZ-series and it comes equipped with features such as an LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. It is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 12.2bhp of maximum output at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. Similar to the Xpulse 200T 4V, this motorcycle, too, uses a single-channel ABS.
Revolt RV 400 (Rs 1.23 lakh)
Revolt Motors’ RV 400 electric motorcycle is about Rs 3,000 cheaper than the new Xpulse 200T 4V. This motorcycle comes with a comprehensive feature list that comprises full-LED lighting, instrument cluster with connectivity function, three ride modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), and a combined braking system. This electric motorcycle is powered by a 3KWh motor which produces 5kW of power and 50Nm of torque. The Sport mode boasts a top speed of 85kmph and is claimed to deliver a range of 90km. Meanwhile, the City mode offers a 120km range and boasts a top speed of 65kmph. Lastly, the Eco mode limits the top speed to 45kmph and it is claimed to deliver a maximum range of 156km.
Bajaj Pulsar NS160 (Rs 1.25 lakh)
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is available at a similar price tag as the new Xpulse 200T 4V. This Bajaj product is powered by a 160.3cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces a maximum output of 17bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.6Nm at 7,250rpm. The Pulsar NS160 is available in a single variant and it uses disc brakes on both ends and a single-channel ABS. However, unlike its rivals, this motorcycle misses LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster.
Vespa VXL 125 (Rs 1.28 lakh)
Vespa’s retro-style 125cc scooter, the VXL 125 is available at a relatively higher price tag than the new Xpulse 200T 4V. This retro-style scooter uses a 124.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 9.78bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.60Nm at 5,500rpm. The feature list includes a full-LED headlamp, a USB charger, and an under-seat light. However, despite its premium pricing, it misses Bluetooth connectivity.
