- New Xtreme 160R launching soon
- Will get new USD forks at the front
- Likely to get revised instrument cluster
Hero MotoCorp plans to launch a range of new motorcycles and scooters this year. The new Xtreme 160R will be one of the earlier 2023 launches.
According to our dealer sources, the Gurgaon-based company will launch the 2023 version of the Xtreme 160R in the next few weeks. The company wants to start this new fiscal year with upgrades rather than brand-new products.
The new Xtreme 160R has been spotted testing multiple times over the last few months. The spy shots showed that the motorcycle would get upside-down front forks –a significant upgrade. The bike is also likely to get a revised instrument cluster and additional features. The new Xtreme 160R will also get new dual-tone paint schemes to make the motorcycle look more aspirational.
The dealer sources said that the Xtreme 160R had an excellent initial response. However, it faded away within a few months. But with the new Xtreme 160R, the dealers have been promised good marketing support from the brand to help them sell more motorcycles. When launched, the Xtreme 160R will go against the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the new Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
We expect this bike to launch during July-August but with a little price hike. The Xtreme 160R is probably the best bike Hero MotoCorp developed when it comes to handling and agility. With the new USD forks, things are just going to get better.
