- New Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth edition to feature a matte-black paint
- Feature list to retain full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster
- Not likely to get any mechanical revisions
Hero MotoCorp has teased the upcoming Xtreme 160R Stealth edition ahead of its Indian launch. The company has released a teaser video for the Xtreme 160R Stealth edition, giving a brief glimpse at the front fascia of the motorcycle. While the teaser video does not give many details, the motorcycle was recently spotted at a dealer meet, alongside the XPulse 200 4V.
The new motorcycle will retain the design of the existing model. However, the Stealth edition will bring a matte black finish to various parts, such as the headlight mask, front fender, fuel tank extensions, and rear panel. The styling cues, similar to the standard model, will include a modern design for the LED headlight, a muscular fuel tank, a step-up seat, and rear panel-integrated pillion grab rails.
The details about the instrument cluster are scarce, although we may see Bluetooth connectivity on the Stealth model. Our regular readers would know that Hero Xtreme 160R’s direct rival, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V recently received the connectivity feature. Do note that Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming new Pleasure Plus, too, will feature Bluetooth connectivity.
While the motorcycle will get a styling revision, the mechanical specifications are not likely to change. Thus, the new Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth edition will retain the 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 15bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
