- New Xtreme 200S could get 4-valve engine
- Likely to be launched soon
- Expect a slight hike in pricing
Hero Motocorp is set to update most of its line-up including soon. After leaked images of the Xpulse 200 4V surfaced recently, the new Xtreme 200S has also been spotted testing.
Since the Xpulse and Xtreme share the same platform, it would not be a surprise if the latter received the same four-valve engine as the Xpulse is expected to. While this 199cc, single-cylinder, two-valve, oil-cooled motor churns out 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm on the current bike, with the introduction of four-valves, the power output is likely to increase.
Besides this, the motorcycle is also expected to get a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster like its siblings along with new colour options. We can also expect a hike in price over the current model’s Rs 1.24 lakh ex-showroom tag. However, the rest of the Xtreme 200S is likely to remain the same. In terms of competition, the motorcycle would go up against the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and Bajaj Pulsar 220F in the country.
