Honda has launched the new Activa 125 at Rs 56,954, ex-showroom Delhi. The new Activa gets a facelift and added variants along with the soon-to-be-mandatory Auto Headlamp On function and a new Bharat Stage 4 compliant engine. Bookings for the scooter have already been opened and deliveries are expected to begin immediately.
Since this is an upgrade, the looks and styling is the same but the Honda Activa now gets LED lamps integrated with the chrome chest in the front, making it look more premium and sporty. It can also be bought in the new Matt Crust Metallic hue along with the existing white, blue and red options. The Activa 125 was available in two variants – the drum brakes with steel wheels and the disc brake with alloy wheels. Now you can opt for the drum brake with alloy wheels setup and the new variants sits between the other two and has a price tag of Rs 58,900.
The disc-brake with 12 inch alloy wheels variant costs you Rs 61,362 ex-showroom, Delhi. Honda’s Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer technology is standard across all the models for as it will be mandatory on 125cc and more bikes. To meet the latest emission standards, the Activa 125’s HET engine is now BS-4 compliant and has lower emissions than the outgoing model. The engine generates 8.52bhp of power and 10.54Nm of torque and is mated to an automatic CVT gearbox. Automatic headlamp on function is standard and it also gets a 12V charging socket on the outside along with the retractable luggage hook.
The Honda Activa 125 competes with the Suzuki Access 125, the Mahindra Gusto 125, Suzuki Swish 125 and the Vespa LX 125.
