Honda has launched the new Activa 6G in India with cosmetic as well as mechanical updates. It is available in two variants- Standard and Deluxe priced at Rs 63,912 and Rs 65, 412 each (ex-showroom, Delhi). We bring to you details of the scooter through this image gallery.
The new Activa 6G retains the same overall design of the Activa 5G although with subtle tweaks like the chrome garnish on the front apron and a sleeker rear section that set it apart from the previous model.
Underneath the Activa 6G’s full-metal bodywork is a BS6-compliant 109cc engine that is fuel-injected. The motor churns out 7.7bhp of power and 8.79Nm of torque; a nominal decrease as compared to the BS4 version.
In terms of features, Honda has equipped the scooter with an engine start-stop switch, external fuel filler cap and an ACG starter motor. It also continues with a full-LED headlamp and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
One of the biggest updates comes in the form of new cycle parts. The new Activa 6G now rides on telescopic forks upfront which replaces the trailing link suspension on the outgoing model.
For added comfort, the scooter also gets a 12-inch front wheel (in place of the 10-inch wheel on the Activa 5G) and a 10-inch rear wheel. Meanwhile, braking hardware consists of drum brakes at both ends along with CBS (combi brake system).
Honda is offering the Activa 6G in six colour schemes- blue, red, grey, black, yellow and white. It is also available with optional accessories like a metal guard, luggage rack that attaches on the front apron, different seat.
