- Gets cosmetic changes over other variants
- Rs 1,000 more expensive than the Deluxe variant
- Comes in three new colours
Honda has launched the new Premium variant of the Activa 6G in India, after teasing it for over a couple of weeks. It’s an aesthetically jazzed-up iteration of India’s best-selling scooter and has been priced at Rs 75,400. That makes it Rs 1,000 more expensive than the Deluxe trim which costs Rs 74,400 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The visual elements that set it apart from the other variants include golden wheels, a 3D gold-finished logo, brown inner body and seat cover, and golden accents on the front apron. Accompanying these changes is a new set of colour options - Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic and Pearl Siren Blue. Contrary to our expectations, Honda hasn’t included any new features in the Activa 6G Premium edition. Moreover, it remains unchanged even on the hardware front.
Powering the Honda Activa 6G is a 109.51cc engine that churns out 7.68bhp and 8.79Nm of peak torque and it comes mated to a CVT gearbox. It rides on a 12-10-inch wheel combination which is suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear and braking is handled by a drum at both ends. Further, the list of features includes an external fuel filler cap, an engine start-stop switch, a silent starter, and a dual-function switch that opens the seat and an external fuel lid.
