Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the Activa 6G Smart Key edition. This variant will sit at the top of the Activa 6G range. Here we present the top five highlights of the scooter.
Features
The new Activa 6G Smart Key variant, as the name suggests, gets a smart key that enables keyless operations. The smart key can be used to lock/unlock the vehicle, access the under-seat storage, and open the fuel lid. Further, the key can also be used to locate the vehicle. By clicking the answer-back button on the smart key, all four blinkers will blink twice, thus making it easier to locate the scooter. Further, this variant of the Activa 6G range comes with a security system that helps prevent vehicle theft. Other features retained from the standard variant include the silent start system and combined braking system.
Styling
The styling of the Smart Key variant remains identical to the standard Honda Activa 6G and it continues to use a single-pod headlight flanked by turn indicators at the front, chrome garnishing on the apron, body-coloured front fender, and a single-piece pillion grab rail. However, this variant gets newly designed alloy wheels that feature black colour. In comparison, other variants come with steel wheels.
Colours
Since the colour palette is similar to the existing variants, the new Activa 6G Smart Key, too, is available in six paint options – Decent Blue Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue, Black, Pearl Precious White, Rebel Red Metallic, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
Engine and Hardware
Meanwhile, the styling and mechanical specifications remain unaltered. Thus, this variant of the Activa continues to use the BS6-compliant 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The hardware on the Activa 6G Smart Key version includes telescopic front forks and a single rear spring to handle the shock absorption tasks. Then, the braking setup includes drum brakes on both wheels while the safety net, as mentioned earlier, comprises combined braking system.
