- It is likely to be the new Activa 125
- Expected to receive minor cosmetic changes
- The Activa 125 received its last update in July 2018
The new Honda Activa has been spotted testing around the ARAI facility. As apparent from the spy images, the test mule is likely to be the new Activa 125 carrying minor tweaks to its features and styling.
The design of the front apron, LED headlamp, front fender, telescopic forks, alloy wheels and tail lamp is similar to the current Activa 125. However, it features a redesigned grab rail and the most prominent upgrade comes in the form of a new instrument cluster. It has a different layout for the analogue speedometer along with a contrast colour cladding around it.
The Honda Activa 125 is powered by a 124cc motor which churns out 8.5bhp and 10.54Nm of torque. It rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel which are anchored by drum brake at the rear while the front gets options of disc and drum brakes. Notably, the front disc on the spied Activa is held by a single-piston caliper as opposed to the dual-piston unit on the current Activa 125. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks on the front and hydraulic shock absorber at the rear.
The Honda Activa 125 had received an upgrade in July 2018 wherein it got LED headlamp and refreshed instrument cluster. Currently, the pricing starts from Rs 59,921 and goes up to Rs 64,307 (both prices are ex-showroom) for the top-end disc variant. We expect the new Activa to demand a slight premium over the outgoing model.
