- Honda ADV 160 makes debut in Indonesia
- Gets a 156cc motor
- No word about its India launch
Honda has finally launched the ADV 160 in Indonesia after teasing the scooter for the past couple of weeks. The scooter will replace the ADV 150 that existed until now.
Now the new Honda ADV 160 isn’t visually distinguishable from the ADV 150 at first glance. It continues with the split-headlamps with LED lighting and LED DRLs. However, it does get minor changes to the body panels that are slightly angular along with a bigger windscreen and a larger under seat space.
That said, it also gets a bigger motor compared to the ADV 150. The ADV 160 is powered by the same 156cc, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 16bhp and 14.7Nm making it 1.4bhp and 0.9Nm more powerful than the model it replaces.
In terms of features, the Honda ADV 160 is well equipped with a full-digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS and a traction control system as well. You also get a massive 30-litre under seat storage unit and a low 785mm seat height to make it even accessible.
Interestingly, Honda has filed design patents for the ADV 150 in India recently. However, there is no word about the scooter being launched in the country anytime soon.
