Honda has updated its CB series in the Indian market with the launch of the new CB350RS. The new model, which has been priced at Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, India), joins the H’Ness CB350 in the company’s India portfolio. The new model, similar to the H’Ness CB350, will be sold through the company’s BigWing outlets.
In terms of design, the new Honda CB350RS will feature contemporary styling. Thus, the front fascia gets a round, LED headlight. The cockpit includes a semi-digital instrument cluster while the seat features a tuck and roll design. Other features include Y-shaped alloy wheels, wide pattern tyres, front fork boots, full-LED lighting, an underseat taillight, and a skid plate.
The model uses a 350cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 20.7bhp at 5,500rpm and 30Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm. The five-speed gearbox benefits from an assist and a slipper clutch mechanism while the safety net comprises Honda Selectable Torque Control and dual-channel ABS.
Honda promises a sporty riding stance on the CB350RS. The hardware on the motorcycle includes telescopic front forks, twin rear springs, and single discs on both wheels. The new CB350RS will join the H’Ness CB350 to compete against the likes of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and the Benelli Imperiale 400.
The company has witnessed a positive response for the H’Ness CB350, and Honda 2Wheelers India has already sold over 10,000 units of the motorcycle. The new CB350RS aims to further enhance sales in the Indian market.
