Honda has added the CB500X to its big bike lineup in India. So here we tell you all that you need to know about the motorcycle.
Styling
The Honda CB500X is an adventure-touring motorcycle and sports a tall stance. It gets a short beak-like front end which also has a tall windscreen. Honda has also equipped the CB500X with a comfortable seat and dual-sport tyres.
Features
Honda has fitted the new CB500X with features like full-LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster, emergency stop signal, Honda Ignition Security System as well as a dual-channel ABS.
Engine
Powering the CB500X is a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine that churns out 47bhp at 8,500rpm and 43.2Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and a slipper clutch.
Colours
The Honda CB500X is offered in a choice of two colour options- Grand Prix Red and Gunpowder Black Metallic.
Pricing and competition
Now, Honda has priced the CB500X at Rs 6.87 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike will available only through the Honda Big Bike showrooms which are currently in limited number across India. As for competition, the Honda CB500X will compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and the Benelli TRK 502 in India.
