The new Honda Dio 125 is available in two variants – standard and Smart. The base model is available at Rs. 83,400, while the Smart variant, which packs more features than the standard version, is priced at Rs. 91,300.
What are the styling cues on the new Honda Dio 125?
Similar to the 110cc model, the newly launched Honda Dio 125 features a bold design that should appeal to young buyers. The styling cues on this 125cc scooter comprise an apron-mounted headlight and front turn indicators, a sharp design for the body panels, a split-style pillion grabrail, and a dual outlet exhaust. This scooter also gets new graphics and a bold logo.
Then, the colour palette comprises seven options – Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Sports Red. Notably, the Pearl Night Star Black, Sports Red, and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic paint theme benefit from bold graphics that are visible on the front fender, apron, and side panels. The rest of the palette features a single-tone finish and a different “Dio 125” logo that is visible on the side panels.
What are the mechanical specifications of the new Honda Dio 125?
This scooter is powered by an OBD2-compliant, 123.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power). This motor also benefits from a Honda ACG starter, improvised tumble flow, friction reduction and improved combustion, and solenoid valves. Meanwhile, the maximum power and peak torque output are rated at 8.16bhp at 6,250rpm and 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm, respectively.
What are the features of the new Honda Dio 125?
Both variants of the Honda Dio 125 benefit from an LED headlight, idling stop system, side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, integrated headlamp beam & passing switch, and a combined braking system. Then, the Smart Key variant further benefits from H-Smart technology and packs additional features such as smart find, keyless start, and security functions. Notably, this system is already available on the Honda Activa range and Dio 110.
What hardware does the new Honda Dio 125 use?
The hardware on both variants includes an underbone chassis, telescopic front forks and a three-step preload-adjustable rear spring. Then, the braking setup on the base model includes drum brakes, while the Smart variant benefits from a petal-type front disc brake. It boasts a 5.3-litre fuel tank and boasts a kerb weight of 104kg. Both variants are available with the special 10-year warranty package (three years standard and seven years optional extension).
