Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the new Dio 125. This scooter is available in two variants and seven colour options. The colour palette for the standard and Smart variants includes – Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Grey, Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Sports Red.
Notably, the Pearl Night Star Black, Sports Red, and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic paint theme benefit from bold graphics that are visible on the front fender, apron, and side panels. The rest of the palette features a single-tone finish and different 'Dio 125' logos. Meanwhile, the styling cues include an apron-mounted headlight and front turn indicators, a sharp design for the body panels, a split-style pillion grab-rail, and a dual outlet exhaust with a heat shield.
The mechanical specifications, too, are identical on both variants of the scooter. Thus, the new Honda Dio 125 uses an OBD2-compliant, 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power). This motor also benefits from a Honda ACG starter, improvised tumble flow, friction reduction and improved combustion, and solenoid valves.
The standard variant of the Honda Dio 125 is available at Rs. 83,400. Meanwhile, the Smart variant is available at a premium price tag and has been listed at Rs. 91,300. The new Honda Dio 125 will rival the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125 in the Indian market.
