- Priced at Rs 77,712
Honda India has launched a new version of its popular Dio scooter. The company has launched the Dio H Smart in India at Rs 77,712 (ex-showroom Delhi).
According to its official website, this new version of the Dio gets the H-Smart treatment. This scooter is now equipped with keyless ignition and alloy wheels. The brand first launched this on the Activa and the Activa 125. The H-Smart version is Rs 3,500 more expensive than the OBD-2 version, which has also been launched simultaneously.
The new Dio is available in two variants – standard and deluxe. The former is an affordable model with a halogen bulb headlight, analogue instrument cluster, and blacked-out wheel and lacks the three-step eco indicator. The deluxe variant gets an LED headlight, digital instrument cluster, external fuel filler cap, gold alloy wheels, and the three-step eco indicator.
With these new additions, the Dio is likely to see an increase in sales in the metro and some rural areas. The Dio has always been positioned as a scooter for the Indian youth. Over the last few years, the sales for this scooter have been consistent and are likely to keep bringing good sales for the Japanese brand for the next few years.
