- Honda Hornet 2.0 launched in four colour options
- Available in grey, blue, red and black paint schemes
- Priced at Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram)
Honda has launched the all-new Hornet 2.0 which marks the brand’s entry into the 180-200cc segment in India. Also, it is the successor to the highly-popular CB Hornet 160R. One of the main highlights of the new Hornet 2.0 is its styling which is much sharper and muscular than the model it replaces. Enhancing its aesthetic appeal further are four striking colour options.
Three out of these four paint schemes are available in matte finish which include Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Matte Sangria Red Metallic. Meanwhile, the fourth colour option is Pearl Igneous Black which sports glossy finish. Complementing these attractive colour schemes are edgy graphics, 3D ‘Honda’ logo on the tank extensions and a bold ‘Hornet’ decal on the fuel tank.
Powering the new Hornet 2.0 is a 184cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which churns out 16.8bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 16.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycles rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are suspended by upside down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by petal-type discs at both ends assisted by a single-channel ABS.
The new Honda Hornet 2.0 has been priced at Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom) which makes it more affordable than two of its closest rivals, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS200. Bookings for the motorcycle have already commenced while the deliveries are likely to commence soon.
