Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the launch of the new SP160 in our market. This new product from the Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer is available in two variants and six paint options. Here, we bring a detailed image gallery of the motorcycle.
The new Honda SP160 carries modern styling cues that should attract young buyers. These comprise a sharp design for the headlight, a body-coloured headlight cowl, fuel tank shrouds for a muscular look, a step-up saddle, and a side-slung exhaust.
The paint options for this premium commuter motorcycle comprise six options – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Dark Blue Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Deep Ground Grey.
The feature list of this product comprises an LED headlight, an LED taillight, a fully-digital instrument cluster, an engine stop switch, and a hazard switch. The console shows readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, side stand indicator, gear position indicator, fuel level readout, clock, and average fuel consumption.
Then, the mechanical specifications comprise the same 162.71cc, single-cylinder motor as the Unicorn 160. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this engine delivers a maximum output of 13.2bhp and a peak torque of 14.59Nm. Notably, this motor complies with the OBD-2 norms and E20 fuel requirements.
The hardware on the product comprises telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock to handle the shock absorption tasks. The braking tasks on the base model are handled by a 276mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum. Then, the premium version comes with a 220mm rear disc. Notably, both variants use a single-channel ABS.
The single-disc version is priced at Rs. 1,17,500 and the double-disc variant costs Rs. 1,21,900 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
