- Get a bigger (160cc) engine
- Features HET tubeless (Low Rolling Resistance) tyre
- Gets a longer seat than its predecessor
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the launch of the Unicorn BS6 at Rs 93,593 (ex-showroom Delhi). In comparison, the BS4 compliant model was available for Rs 80,741 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The latest iteration of the Honda Unicorn gets a displacement bump, and it now features a 160cc PGM-FI HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine instead of the 149.2cc motor that powered its predecessor. The new engine features a counterweight balancer that aims to reduce vibrations. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has also added an engine stop switch to the Unicorn BS6.
Styling cues have not received any major upgrades, although the front cowl features a noticeably larger chrome garnish than its predecessor. The company has also improved the ground clearance by 8mm and increased the saddle length by 24mm on the BS6 motorcycle. The Honda Unicorn BS6 comes with rear HET tubeless (Low Rolling Resistance) tyre.
Hardware specifications continue to feature telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, front disc brake and single-channel ABS.
The Unicorn BS6 is available in three colour options – Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic and Matte Axis Gray Metallic. The motorcycle comes with a special six-year warranty package (three years standard + three years optional extended warranty).
