Bajaj has not launched the Pulsar SS200 yet, but has unveiled it in a few countries abroad. Here are more recent pictures of the production-ready bike.
The Bajaj Pulsar SS200 is the fully-faired version of the NS200 and will offer a 'super-sport' experience to owners. It is expected to carry over most of the elements from the younger naked sibling. The SS200 gets the same body kit that the Pulsar SS400 had, which includes dual projector headlamps, DRLS, new OVRMs, clip-on handle-bars and new tail lamps, though the side lamps are carried over from the KTM Duke 200 and 390. The rear tyre hugger is directly carried over from the NS200.
The Pulsar SS200 will come equipped with the same 200cc engine that the current NS200 is powered by, which produces 23.5bhp of power and 18.3Nm of torque. There are speculations that Bajaj might offer it with fuel injection and optional ABS for the bike.
The SS200 is the smaller sibling of the Pulsar SS400 that was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo. We have spotted various test bikes of the SS200 ever since then, but the motorcycle has not yet been unveiled in India. We can expect the Pulsar SS200 and AS200 (semi-faired 'Adventure Sport' motorcycle) to go on sale by the middle of this year.
