-Indian Motorcycles Challenger leaked
-To be powered by 1770cc V-Twin engine
-Expected to be launched at the 2019 EICMA
A leaked video from a dealership meet confirms that Indian Motorcycles is set to launch a new cruiser which will be called the Challenger.
The leaked video, apart from revealing the name, has also revealed the motorcycle’s front end. It sports a large batwing fairing that houses a full-LED headlamp along with LED DRLs. Interestingly, the front end was the only part of the Challenger that was left to be seen as the bike has been spotted testing before.
Moreover, a set of leaked documents confirmed details of the motorcycle’s engine as well as its design. The Indian Challenger will come powered by a 1770cc, V-twin engine that produces 120bhp. As for design, Indian has taken a completely different approach with the styling of the Challenger. It seems to follow a lowered bagger design complete with long exhausts and stretched-out saddlebags. The bike also gets blacked-out components and a stretched-out handlebar that add to its visual appeal.
We can expect Indian Motorcycles to unveil the Challenger at the upcoming 2019 EICMA as a 2020 model. In terms of competition, it will go head-on against the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special.
