- 2023 Indian Sport Chief launched
- Comes with cosmetic updates
- No word about Indian launch
Indian Motorcycles has launched the 2023 Sport Chief in international markets. It is based on the standard Chief but comes with some updates to make it sportier.
To begin with, the Sport Chief is fitted with a quarter fairing that transforms the Sport Chief’s visuals for a more aggressive look. It also comes with new upright handlebars that get six-inch risers. Besides the cosmetics, the motorcycle also gets a bigger engine than the rest of the Indian Chief range. This is a blacked-out Thunderstroke 116 motor that churns out 153Nm of torque that it shares with the Roadmaster and Darkhorse series.
In addition to the powerful engine, Indian has also equipped the motorcycle with a narrower trail and sharper rake with 43mm forks from KYB. At the rear, the Sport Chief uses two shocks from Fox with four inches of travel. What’s more, it also gets upgraded Brembo brakes and Pirelli Night Dragon tyres. As for features, the Indian Sport Chief is kitted with Ride command and a touchscreen display which shows various info and turn-by-turn navigation system.
Now, the Indian Sport Chief will be available in international markets soon. However, there is no word about its launch in our country wherein it would take on the Harley-Davidson Sportser S.
