Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is all set to launch a new motorcycle on 3 September and in the run-up, the company has released a new teaser video. The animated video gives us a glimpse of the bike which appears to be a new roadster.
The new bike is going to be an addition to the Jawa 42 lineup and by the looks of it, the bike has a new design. This is evident from the shape of the new fuel tank, the off-set fuel filler cap and the new cowling around the headlight. The side and tail panels also appear to be different.
There is no word on the chassis or engine specifications yet. The new bike may be based on the recently updated Jawa 42. However it could use the new Jawa 350’s engine. This 334cc, single-cylinder engine makes
22.26bhp and 28.1Nm in the Jawa 350. Expect the engine to be tuned to suit the application of the new bike.
Expect Jawa to price the bike around the Rs 2 lakh to 2.10 lakh mark. Bookings for the new bike will begin post the launch with deliveries commencing shortly after.
