Just a few days ago, Kawasaki launched the 2025 version of the Ninja 650 for the international markets. It looks like the Indian market will get this model soon.
According to our dealer sources, the Indian arm of Kawasaki is planning to launch the 2025 Ninja 650 during the festive reason. The overall interest for the current model has gone down over the last few days and as a result of this, the dealers aren’t able to sell the Ninja 650 as expected. So, the 2025 Ninja 650 is being launched sooner than planned to push the excitement in the segment and also bring in good sales numbers for the Japanese firm.
For 2025, the company has given the bike just aesthetic updates. It gets two new colours: Candy Steel Furnace Orange/Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Royal Purple and Metallic Matte Old School Green/Metallic Spark Black. Along with the standard model, the company has also launched the KRT Edition. This variant gets Kawasaki Racing Team’s livery and graphics.
In terms of power, the Ninja 650 continues to be powered by the same 649cc, parallel-twin motor that makes 67.3bhp at 8,000rpm and 65.76Nm of peak torque at 6,700rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The bike also gets some decent features like a 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument display, LED lighting, and smartphone connectivity. Safety features include a traction control system, three riding modes, and dual-channel ABS as standard.
With this new model, Kawasaki will also look at bumping up the price of the Ninja 650. The current price of the bike is Rs 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom). So we can expect the 2025 Ninja 650 to be priced around Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
