Kawasaki has updated its Indonesian product portfolio with the launch of the new Ninja ZX-10R. The litre-class motorcycle has been launched in the Indonesian market at an on-road price tag of IDR 520,000,000 (Rs 26.67 lakh) as against IDR 492,000,000 (Rs 25.26 lakh) for the old model. In comparison, the Ninja ZX-10R is available at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in the Indian market.
The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets several styling and mechanical revisions. The latest iteration of the Japanese motorcycle uses a Euro5/BS6-compliant 998cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 200bhp (210bhp with RAM Air) of power at 13,200rpm and 114Nm of peak torque at 11,400rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission.
Styling revisions comprise of a redesigned front fascia that now benefits from aerodynamic winglets that are built into the upper cowl. The 2021 model also gets a sharper headlight design, a new tail cowl, and the Kawasaki River Mark. Kawasaki has revised the handlebar and footpeg positions to deliver a more aggressive, circuit-focussed riding position. The feature list on the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R includes full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument cluster.
The electronic rider aids on the 2021 model comprise of cruise control, traction control system, launch control, cornering management function, power modes, riding modes, engine brake control, intelligent ABS, Ohlins electronic steering damper, and a bidirectional quick-shifter. The motorcycle will be available in a single colour option in the Indonesian market – Lime Green/Ebony/Blizzard White.
