- New Z1000 to be showcased very soon
- Retains the same 1043cc motor
- Emissions have gone down
Kawasaki has readied a new Z1000. This information has been leaked via new documents published by California Air Resources Board (CARB).
According to the documents, Kawasaki has type-approved a new generation Ninja 1000 in the US. This motorcycle is also called as the Z1000SX in markets like UK. It’s clear from the documents that the Z1000 is also ready and both the motorcycles are expected to be unveiled either at the Tokyo Motor Show or the 2019 EICMA show in Italy.
The document confirms that the motorcycle will retain the same 1043cc inline four engine that is seen on the current model. However, the emissions have been reduced drastically. The overall weight of the motorcycle has come down as well, making us believe that the Japanese manufacturer has given it a revised chassis. The document suggest that the next generation Z1000 will weigh 10kgs lesser than the current model.
Will this motorcycle come to India? Definitely! In fact, expect the new Z1000 to come to India by the year end or maybe at the beginning of 2020.
