- Kawasaki Z650 RS priced at Rs 6.65 lakh
- Powered by 649cc, parallel-twin engine
- Deliveries to commence later this month
Kawasaki has finally launched the Z650 RS in India with a price tag of Rs 6.65 lakh, ex-showroom. The motorcycle competes against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 in the country and costs a premium of Rs 3.84 lakh over the latter.
Now, the Kawasaki Z650 RS borrows the modern-retro styling from the bigger Z900 RS. It gets a chrome headlamp bezel, a curvy fuel tank, single-piece seat as well as round mirrors that add to the retro styling. Moreover, it also gets chrome finished twin-pod analogue cluster with an LCD dash fitted in between. That said the Z650 RS also sports full-LED lighting to complete the modern side of things.
The Z650 RS is powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 67.3bhp and 64Nm. In comparison, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 offers 47bhp and 52Nm. Meanwhile, the Z650 RS’ suspension and braking hardware are similar to its streetfighter version- the Z650.
Kawasaki is offering the Z650RS in two colour options- Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey/Ebony. With bookings commenced in dealerships across India, deliveries are expected to begin by the end of this month.
