New Kawasaki Z650RS deliveries commence in India
- Available in two colours
- Priced at Rs 6.65 lakh
- Uses a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine
Kawasaki India has commenced the deliveries of its newly launched middleweight motorcycle, the Z650RS. This new, retro-style model from the Japanese manufacturer, which is available at Rs 6.65 lakh (ex-showroom, India), rivals the likes of Honda CB650R and the Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 in the Indian market.
The motorcycle shares its underpinnings with the Z650 naked roadster and the Ninja 650. Thus, the mechanical specifications include a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that is linked to a six-speed transmission and produces 67.3bhp at 6,700rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.
The styling cues include a single-pod round headlight with a chrome surround, a retro-style twin-pod instrument cluster, a round shape for the rear-view mirrors, curvy design for the fuel tank, a flat seat, and an underbelly exhaust. The motorcycle rides on split-style alloy wheels that are wrapped in tubeless tyres. It is available in two colours – Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Gray.
