- New Z900 unveiled
- Gets upgraded engine
- India launch next year
Kawasaki has taken the wraps off the 2025 version of one of its highest-selling motorcycles – the Z900. For 2025, the bike has received a lot of changes, including some performance upgrades.
One of the major changes has come to the 948cc four-cylinder engine. This motor makes the same 123bho power, but the low-end torque has been increased. It will now churn out better response from just 1500rpm. This has been achieved by using new throttle valves and updating camshaft profiles. The ECU has also been updated.
In the features department, the new Z900 now gets cruise control as standard, along with traction control and multiple riding modes. There’s also a new turn-by-turn navigation system that can be operated through the bike’s five-inch colour TFT instrument cluster. To make this work, the rider must connect with the brand’s Rideology mobile app. The Japanese maker has also given the bike a set of four-piston calipers and new Sportmax tyres from Dunlop.
Aesthetically, there are some minor updates given to the bike. The headlight and taillights have been marginally redesigned and there’s a new aluminium tank shrouds. The brand is giving two seat options with this bike – one with 830mm and the other is 810mm.
The Z900 is one of the highest-selling big bikes in India, and Kawasaki will definitely bring this bike to India sometime next year. The price will increase a bit, as there are a lot more practical features on the 2025 version.
