- New KTM 125 Duke likely to cost Rs 1.48 lakh
- Gets new styling
- Likely to be launched next week
KTM has updated the 125 Duke for India and is expected to launch the motorcycle sometime next week. While bookings have already commenced, the new KTM 125 Duke has also started reaching dealerships ahead of its launch.
As we reported earlier, the new KTM 125 Duke gets new styling derived from the 200 Duke. It gets the angular headlamp with LED DRL, sharp tank shrouds wrapped around a comparatively larger 13.5-litre fuel tank, an orange frame and black sub-frame. KTM will offer the 125 Duke in two colour combinations- one gets white tank shrouds with orange graphics and the other sports orange tank shrouds with white tank. Apart from these cosmetic changes, the new 125 Duke remains the same. However, according to dealers, the upgrade will demand a premium of around Rs 7,000 over the outgoing model’s 1.42 lakh price tag. Nevertheless, powering the KTM 125 Duke is a 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 14.3bhp and 12Nm.
As for cycle parts, KTM has also kept the suspension and braking hardware the same as the previous-gen model. The new 125 Duke even retains the LCD instrument cluster and is likely to get a single-channel ABS as standard.
In terms of competition, the KTM 125 Duke will go head on against the Yamaha MT-15 which is priced lower at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom)
