- 2021 KTM 125 Duke gets new styling
- To be priced around Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom)
- No change in performance
The new KTM 125 Duke is expected to be launched in India next week with a price tag of around Rs 1.48 lakh. This is a premium of Rs 6,000- Rs 7,000 over the outgoing model’s 1.42 lakh price tag. In comparison, its closest competitor- the Yamaha MT-15 costs Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
A few showrooms across India have also begun accepting bookings for the upcoming motorcycle. Now the new KTM 125 Duke receives a cosmetic overhaul, borrowing its styling from the 200 Duke. It gets sharper tank shrouds on a larger 13.5-litre fuel tank, an angular headlamp with LED DRL, and a partly-exposed subframe. The updated KTM 125 Duke is also likely to get two colours- orange with white and white with black.
Besides this, the new 125 Duke will remain the same as the outgoing model. It will feature an LCD instrument cluster and come with a single-channel ABS as standard. Meanwhile, it will draw power from the same BS6-compliant 124cc, single-cylinder engine that gets liquid-cooling. This motor produces 14.3bhp and 12Nm. Even the suspension and braking hardware will be the same as the outgoing model.
