- BS6 KTM 200 Duke bookings begin at select dealerships across India
- Gets a styling identical to the 250 Duke
- Likely to be around Rs 5,000 more expensive than the existing model
KTM is all set to launch the new BS6-compliant version of the 200 Duke in India. After being spied recently in all its glory, bookings for the bike have commenced at select dealerships across India. The motorcycle will start arriving in showrooms soon while deliveries will begin next month.
The most notable update it has received is the new styling which is identical to the 250 Duke. It gets the same angular headlamp cluster with a halogen lamp, flanked by LED DRLs. The sharp fuel tank extensions, exposed sub frame and LED tail lamp are also borrowed from the 250 Duke. Complementing the edgy styling are two new paint schemes including black-orange and black-white.
Clinging on to its steel trellis frame is a 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which currently produces 24.6bhp of power and 19.2Nm of torque in the BS4 form. These power figures could be slightly different for the BS6 model. Meanwhile, the cycle parts will perhaps be retained from the outgoing model. The 200 Duke rides on 17-inch wheels which are suspended by upside-down forks and monoshock, sourced from WP. Braking is handled by disc brake at both ends, assisted by dual-channel ABS.
The existing model of the 200 Duke retails at Rs 1.62 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the BS6 version is expected to demand a premium of around Rs 5,000 over the current pricing. In other news, KTM is also gearing up to launch the new versions of the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke, with the latter set to get bi-directional quickshifter as standard, besides the new colour options.
