- KTM to offer new 250 Duke with new paint schemes
- To get BS6-compliant engine
- Likely to be launched sometime soon
The new KTM 250 Duke has been spotted at a dealership suggesting that it will be launched in India soon.
As part of the update, the new 250 Duke will sport updated and attractive colour schemes; a stark contrast to the orange/black and white/orange options on the current model. There is a matte silver paint with orange highlights and a matte black colour also with orange highlights. Both models sport colour-matched subframe, a black rear section and revised graphics. Furthermore, the new KTM 250 Duke also borrows the large grab rail from the 2019 390 Duke.
The new 250 Duke will come powered by a BS6-compliant version of the 248cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. While power figures are unknown, it could produce slightly lesser than the current model’s 29.6bhp and 24Nm of torque. It will also retain the same suspension and braking hardware. However, we can expect KTM to equip the new 250 Duke with a few additional features.
We can expect the manufacturer to launch the new 250 Duke in the next couple of weeks with deliveries to commence before March. It is likely to cost a premium of around Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 over the current model which costs Rs 1.97 lakhs (ex-showroom).
