The all-new KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing yet again on Indian roads. The bike has been undergoing rigorous tests in the run up to its launch that’s expected around the end of this year. The test bike seen here reveals interesting features and details about the bike.

The new KTM 390 Adventure will get a colour TFT display and it is likely the same unit that you see on the current KTM 390 Duke. It should also feature Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The new TFT display, as seen on the 390 Duke, is crisp, easy to read and packed with information. The cluster will also be the means by which one can change the ABS, traction control and ride mode settings of the new 390 Adventure.

In terms of design, the bike looks bigger and markedly different from the current 390 Adventure. Its Dakar Rally bike style front fairing, tall windscreen and stacked LED headlights give it an imposing presence. The side and tail sections are relatively slim and functional. Also, don’t miss the large pillion grab rail.

Looking at the images, the riding position is upright and relaxed while the footpegs are placed at a comfortable level. This should enable riders to spend long hours in the saddle without too much fatigue setting in. The seat itself looks wide and long enough to accommodate a pillion comfortably.

The hardware consists of a steel trellis frame suspended by a USD fork and a monoshock. These are very likely to be adjustable. The test bike is seen here riding on wire-spoke wheels shod with tube-type tyres. There is a chance that KTM may introduce a variant with alloy wheels as well.

The bike will be powered by the 390 Duke’s 398.6cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It makes 45.3bhp at 8500rpm and 39Nm at 6500rpm in the street naked. KTM might tinker with the gearing of the 390 Adventure to suit its application. The engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox and it should come with a quickshifter as standard.

Expect the KTM 390 Adventure to be priced between Rs 3.50 lakh to Rs 3.70 lakh, ex-showroom.
