- KTM 890 Adventure to get major updates
- Sports revised styling
- Could be launched by 2022
KTM globally launched the 890 Adventure recently in October 2020 and has already been spotted testing a newer model of the motorcycle.
While the spy images don’t reveal much, they do tell us that the new 890 Adventure is set to get major updates. To begin with, the new KTM 890 Adventure gets revised styling almost similar to sister brand Husqvarna’s Norden 901. While the current 890 Adventure has large tank shrouds, the upcoming model gets a fairing wrapped around its body for a sleeker and cleaner look.
The other change comes in the form of redesigned fuel tanks. The new 890 Adventure is equipped with tanks that are slim on the lower end and wider on the upper. While the tank capacity is likely to be the same, the fuel will be held higher up. It is yet to be seen how much of a difference it would make to the centre of gravity of the motorcycle.
We can expect KTM to unveil the new 890 Adventure by the end of the year and go on sale globally by early 2022. And while it is unlikely to make its way to India, if it does, it would compete against the BMW 850 GS Adventure and Triumph Tiger 900 in the country.
