KTM has finally launched the 2022 RC390 in India officially and it gets substantial upgrades compared to the last version with an equally high price tag. In this article, we’ll tell you all that there is the know about the 2022 KTM RC390.
Pricing
Let’s begin with the pricing. KTM has pegged the all-new RC 390 at Rs 3.14 lakh, ex-showroom. Now that’s an increase of a whopping Rs 36,000 over the previous model. But to substantiate the premium, KTM is offering the 2022 RC 390 in an all-new avatar.
Styling
The styling on the new RC390 is not exactly new, as it already features on the new RC125 and RC200 that have been on sale in India for a while. Although, this design is different from the previous model, taking a more aerodynamic-focused approach derived from the brand’s MotoGP machine and the now discontinued RC8 supersport. It is also available in interesting colour options. One is the mix of black and orange in true KTM fashion and the other is blue and orange that has been inspired by the 1290 Super Duke R.
New features
The new RC390 also comes with all-new features. There is switchable ABS, lean-sensitive cornering ABS, and cornering traction control. Additionally, the 2022 RC 390 also gets KTM’s Quickshifter plus as standard and a new TFT screen as well. Then, you also get a newly designed full-LED headlamp with the LED turn indicators fitted into the front fairing itself. However, the letdown in the whole package is the exclusion of the adjustable suspension that the international model receives. KTM India could have offered it as an optional accessory at the least.
Slight change in performance
The engine is the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, engine that churns out 42.9bhp at 9,000rpm and 37Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. However, KTM has tweaked the performance by adding a bigger airbox while also mapping the engine for better torque distribution and rideability.
