- All-new KTM RC390 India launch likely in September
- Will feature updated styling and new features
- Official details unavailable yet
KTM India may soon update its portfolio with the launch of the all-new RC series. The Made-in-India fully-faired motorcycles could arrive in our market in September while the international launch could take place soon. The official details are not available yet.
The upcoming RC390 was revealed through leaked photographs that gave a detailed look at the next-generation model. In terms of styling, the complete RC series will get a major makeover. The front fascia on the new RC390 will include a single-pod LED headlight instead of projector-style units on the outgoing version. Other updates would include fairing-mounted front turn indicators, a newly designed tail section, and a more accommodating pillion seat. The updated model will also get a bolted sub-frame as against a welded unit on the outgoing version.
The feature list on the updated model will include full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display. The company could also offer a quickshifter on the new RC390. Do note that the feature is already available on the India-spec 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure.
Apart from the styling, the leaked photographs have also revealed the hardware on the new RC390. The motorcycle will feature adjustable front forks, although the feature could be available on international-spec models only. The Austrian brand already offers adjustable front forks on the international-spec 390 Adventure while the Indian model uses non-adjustable units.
The updated model could arrive with a price premium over the outgoing model’s Rs 2.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) tag.
