If you ask any automotive collector if he or she has any Lambretta in their collection, chances are you’ll never get a negative answer. And now, there’s a reason for these enthusiasts to rejoice.
A new scooter will be unveiled in the next couple of hours – named the Lambretta L70. This scooter has been designed by Kiska design, the same company that designs KTMs and Husqvarnas, to celebrate Lambretta’s 70th anniversary.
The L70 has been under development for over year and retains the legendary Lambretta design – at least that’s what's shown in this teaser image. However, the overall design styling will be given the modern touch to blend in with the current design trend. There still isn’t any details on the technical front, but we’ll get that as soon as the scooter is unveiled today.
While this Italian firm is now defunct, we think Kiska will sell only a certain number of units to commemorate this legendary scooter brand. And we’re sure a lot of collectors are going to run away with one because it’s not just a buy, it’s also an investment. However, it’ll be difficult to find someone who’s ready to sell their Lambretta, at least in India.
