- New MoveOS 2 rolled out to over 50,000 Ola S1 Pro e-scooters
- Latest update brings new features
- Updated Eco mode claimed to deliver better range
Ola Electric has rolled out the new MoveOS 2 software update for its flagship electric scooter, the S1 Pro. The electric two-wheeler maker launched the software update at the Ola Futurefactory. The company stated that over 50,000 Ola S1 Pro customers across the country will get this over-the-air (OTA) update.
The manufacturer said in a press statement that the latest software promises bug fixes that were previously found in isolated instances. These include range drop and battery discharge issues.
Through the new software update, owners can access their scooters remotely with the Ola Electric Companion app. They can lock, unlock, and open the boot of the scooter through the application. Furthermore, the owners can also access important vehicle metrics such as charge status, range across modes, odometer reading, and software version.
The MoveOS 2 upgrade also adds the Music Playback feature that allows riders to pair their phones with the scooter via Bluetooth and play their favourite tunes.
In terms of performance, the all-new Eco mode is claimed to deliver an improved range. The company added in its press statement that over 100 customers have already achieved a range of over 200km in a single charge.
To further improve the ride experience, the company has introduced the cruise control feature for the S1 Pro. Through this feature, owners can maintain a steady speed anywhere between 20kmph and 80kmph. This feature can be activated in any of the modes, except Eco. Moreover, the new navigation feature allows the owners to enable turn-by-turn navigation support and a live route map on the instrument cluster of the scooter.
