- Listed in six colour options
- Pro variant is available in 12 colours
- Available at a special introductory price of Rs. 1,09,999
Ola Electric has started the bookings for its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 Air. This budget-friendly version of the S1 range is available in six colour options. In comparison, the range-topping S1 Pro is offered in 12 paint themes. The list for the S1 Air includes Stellar Blue, Neon, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, and Midnight Blue options.
Apart from fewer colour options, the Ola S1 Air also packs budget-friendly equipment. It features a black finish to the lower panels, a single-piece pillion grabrail, steel wheels, and a flat design for the saddle. Then, it also packs a lower range and top speed as compared to the S1 Pro. The maximum speed is rated at 90kmph while the certified range stands at 125km range. The nominal and peak output from the hub motor are rated at 2.7kW and 4.5kW, respectively.
The features list comprises full-LED lighting, a TFT screen with a relatively lower screen resolution than the standard model, smartphone connectivity, three ride modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), reverse mode, combined braking system (CBS), and side stand alert. Notably, it misses the Hyper riding mode.
The hardware, too, is another area where the S1 Air differs from the Pro variant. This entry-level model rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. Then, the braking setup includes drum brakes on both wheels instead of disc units on the higher version.
The new Ola S1 Air is available at a special introductory price tag of Rs. 1,09,999 for a limited period. Later, this electric scooter will be sold at Rs. 1,19,999. It rivals the budget-friendly variants of the TVS iQube and Ather 450 in the Indian market.
