Ola Electric has announced the launch of its new electric scooter, the S1 in the Indian market. The new vehicle will be available in two variants with prices starting from Rs 99,999 onwards. Check out the variant-wise prices below:

In terms of design, the new Ola S1 electric scooter range uses a simple yet futuristic design. The front fascia comprises a compact twin-pod headlight with an LED DRL ring and apron-mounted sleek LED indicators. Other styling cues include a body-coloured front fender, curvy side panels, a sleek LED taillight, an external charging point at the back, and a split-style pillion grabrail. The scooter features a large under-seat storage that can accommodate two open-face helmets. The colour palette for the base variant include five options and 10 for the pro version.
The electric motor on the Ola S1 Pro makes 8.5kW (11.3bhp) of peak power. The Pro variant of the scooter can accelerate from 0-40kmph in three seconds and 0-60kmph in five seconds. The top speed of the S1 Pro is rated at 115kmph while the company claims a range of 181km per charge. The base model, on the other hand, promises a range of 121km per charge and a top speed of 90kmph.
The feature list on the S1 Pro includes three modes (Normal, Sport, and Hyper), reverse mode, hill-hold control, Bluetooth-connectivity, customisable dashboard, rider profile, built-in speakers, voice control, proximity unlock, keyless operation, and cruise control.
The company had commenced the pre-bookings for the electric scooter in the Indian market on 15 July, 2021. The scooter got a promising response, and the company received 1,00,000 interests in the first 24 hours.
