R15-derived engine
The most noteworthy highlight of the Yamaha Aerox 155 is the engine. Derived from the R15, it gets a 155cc, single-cylinder engine. And just like the motorcycle, it gets liquid-cooling and the VVA technology. It produces 14.75bhp and 13.9Nm, making the Aerox 155 the most powerful scooter in India.
Host of features
Besides the full-LED headlamp and tail lamp, the Yamaha Aerox 155 boasts of a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, an idle start-stop system, a side-stand cut-off function, and ABS. It also gets a multi-function key, external fuel lid, and a 24.5-litre under seat storage that is the largest in class.
Suspension and braking hardware
Braking is done by a large 230mm disc up front and a 130mm drum while suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront and twin shocks at the rear. Now the Aerox 155 rides on 14-inch wheels at both ends with a considerably fat 140mm tyre at the rear end.
