- New Revolt AW1 e-bike details leaked
- Gets chain drive
- Launch tomorrow
Revolt is planning to expand its electric bike line-up tomorrow. But it looks like the country doesn’t really need to wait till tomorrow to know more about this bike as the details of it have already been revealed.
From these leaked documents, it is clear that this new e-bike from Revolt is drastically different from its RV400 range of bikes. This bike is likely to be called the Revolt AW1 and will feature a brand new design and bodywork. The leaked pictures also reveal details like the chain drive system, longer seat and also a reverse mode.
The Revolt AW1 will be powered by a 2kW motor and will have two battery options – 2.2kWh and 3.2kWh. The former will have a claimed riding range of around 100kms, whereas the latter gets 150kms in a single charge.
The bike will also get main stand, leg guard and a grab rail. The reverse mode, which is usually seen on e-scooters, is also present on the AW1. From these pictures, it looks like this bike will have larger body proportions compared to the RV400, which is a good thing. Other cycle parts like front disc brake, dark visor and telescopic forks can also be seen on the bike.
Revolt is expected to position this new motorcycle below the RV400. Currently, the RV400 has a starting price of Rs 1.27 lakh. So we can expect this new e-bike to be priced around Rs 1 lakh for the base variant.
