New Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6: What to expect?

Royal Enfield is most likely to launch the new Classic 350 in India on 7 January. With just a couple of days before the motorcycle is introduced, we tell you what to expect from the new Classic 350.

New paint schemes

The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be introduced in new colour schemes to appeal to a wider audience. As spy images revealed, the motorcycle will get a matte black paint with red highlights and a revised Gunmetal Grey colour with tan-brown seat. It could also be available in a couple other colour schemes as part of the 2020 update.

Added accessories

Royal Enfield has also equipped the new Classic 350 with alloy wheels borrowed from the Thunderbird X models. The alloy wheels will come as standard on the Gunmetal Grey and matte black variants although the Signals and Chrome models will continue to ride on spoke wheels. 

BS6-compliant engine

The motorcycle will use the 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that is now fuel-injected. While power figures are unknown, we expect the new Classic 350 to produce slightly lesser power than the current model’s 19.8bhp. However, torque figures are expected to remain the same at 28Nm.

Pricing 

The BS4 Classic 350’s pricing begins at Rs 1.45 lakhs and goes upto Rs 1.55 lakhs for the Gunmetal Grey version. With a BS6-compliant motor and cosmetic updates, Royal Enfield is likely to demand a premium of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 for the new Classic 350. Bookings for the motorcycles have already begun in dealerships across India for a token amount of Rs 10,000.
