- Gets new features like LED lighting and adjustable levers
- Comes with new paint schemes
Royal Enfield has unveiled the 2024 Classic 350 in India and the motorcycle will be launched on 1 September, 2024. As a part of the model year update, the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets a few feature upgrades and cosmetic tweaks.
The most significant change comes from an updated lighting system, with LED illumination for the headlamp, pilot lamps, turn indicators, and tail lamp. The new headlight unit is similar to the one offered on the Guerrilla 450 and the Super Meteor 650. Furthermore, it also gets adjustable, clutch and brake levers, and a USB charging port. The motorcycle is also available in seven new paint schemes - Jodhpur Blue, Madras Red, Emerald, Commando Sand, Brown, and Stealth.
Mechanically, Royal Enfield has kept things unchanged and the new Classic 350 continues to be powered by the 349cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled motor that makes 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. This engine is known for its low-end torque delivery, tractability, and easy cruising nature. The motor is paired with a slick-shifting five-speed gearbox.
The cycle parts, too, are carried over from the outgoing model. Telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers suspend the twin down-tube spine chassis. The older model was known for its firm ride quality, and it remains to be seen whether Royal Enfield has made any changes to the suspension tune. Stopping power comes from a 300mm disc up front and a 270mm rotor at the back.
The 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 rivals the Honda CB350 and the Jawa 350. We expect the new model to carry a premium of around Rs. 2,000-4,000 for the lower-spec variants and up to Rs. 7,000 for the top-spec variants.
