- It’ll be powered by a 450cc single-cylinder motor
- Will feature LED headlight, digital console and more
Royal Enfield has finally sent out the invitation for one of its most anticipated products of 2023, the Himalayan 450. The block-your-date invite has been scheduled for October 30 to November 1 and the teaser also reveals the bike’s raspy exhaust note.
The upcoming Himalayan will be Royal Enfield’s first 450cc offering and the same will also spawn other models based on the same platform. It’ll get a round LED headlight topped by a visor and a tall stance overall. The bike has been spotted multiple times and most of its design cues have already been revealed. We also know that the Himalayan 450 will feature a single-pod instrument console with a host of readouts and possibly smartphone connectivity too.
Powering the new Himalayan 450 will be a 450cc single-cylinder motor dishing 40bhp and 45Nm. It will be linked to a six-speed gearbox and is expected to have a long-stroke nature. Then, the hardware will comprise USD front forks and a rear monoshock while the braking hardware will include front and rear disc brakes with ABS. The braking setup will be mounted on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in off-road-ready tyres.
We also expect Royal Enfield to offer a bunch of accessories including panniers, top boxes, crash guards, footpegs and more. The bike has already been spotted with some of the aforementioned ancillaries.
Royal Enfield could price the upcoming Himalayan 450 at around Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and BMW G310 GS.
