- Royal Enfield offering six colours for BS6 Himalayan
- Prices start at Rs 1.86 lakhs and go up to Rs 1.91 lakhs
- Deliveries to begin in couple of weeks
Royal Enfield introduced the new Himalayan in India recently. Along with a few additional features, the manufacturer is offering the motorcycle in three new colour schemes as part of the update.
There are two, dual-tone colours-Rock Red and Lake Blue, both priced at Rs 1.91 lakhs. While the Rock Red colour features red and black on the fuel tank, the Lake Blue paint sports a combination of white and dark blue on the tank.
The new Himalayan also gets a Gravel Grey colour which comprises of a matte grey paint scheme all through its bodywork and costs Rs 1.89 lakhs. Similarly priced is the camouflage Sleet Grey colour that was available on the previous model.
In addition to these colours, Royal Enfield is also offering the new Himalayan in Granite Black and Snow White colours with a price tag of Rs 1.86 lakhs. (all prices ex-showroom).
In terms of features, the Himalayan now comes with switchable ABS and a hazard light switch fitted on the instrument cluster. The motorcycle’s 411cc, single-cylinder engine is also BS6-compliant. Apart from these changes, the new Himalayan remains the same.
It rides on a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheels wrapped in dual-sport rubber. Braking duties are done by single discs at both ends while suspension hardware consists of telescopic front forks and a monoshock for the rear.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan faces competition from the BMW G310 GS and the KTM 390 Adventure in India.
