- Royal Enfield Himalayan updated
- Gets new colours and minor updates
- Priced from Rs 2.15 lakh
Royal Enfield has taken the wraps off the new Himalayan, launching it in India with prices starting at Rs 2.15 lakh, ex-showroom. As part of the update, the new motorcycle comes with new colours and a new feature for convenience.
To begin with, there is the Glacier Blue colour scheme that incorporates matte and gloss blue on the Himalayan’s body panels and fenders. You can also have the new Royal Enfield Himalayan in Dune Brown that sports camo-like patches similar to the Pine Green option previously available. Lastly, there is the Sleet Black option which is essentially Royal Enfield’s version of black camouflage. These new colours will be sold alongside the existing Lake Blue, Rock Red, Granite Black, Mirage Silver, Pine Green and Gravel Grey paint options.
That said, Royal Enfield has also tweaked the Himalayan logo that features on the side panels, debossing it for a 3D effect. But the new Himalayan comes with a USB charging port as standard for a more useful upgrade. Other than these changes, the motorcycle remains the same as before when it comes to mechanical specifications and features as well. Hence, it continues with a 411cc, single-cylinder engine, a combination of 21/17-inch spoke wheels wrapped with dual-sport rubber, switchable ABS and the Tripper Navigation system.
