The newly unveiled Simple One electric scooter has received a promising response in the Indian market. The Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler maker has announced that its first product has received over 30,000 pre-bookings.
The company added in its press statement that it witnessed a great amount of traffic on the website that caused a few issues in the back end when a customer pre-ordered. All issues pertaining to pre-orders have been resolved. Simple Energy now aims at commencing production as quickly as possible.
The pre-bookings for the Simple One are currently open on the company’s website for a token amount of Rs 1,947. The new Simple One has been priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The 4.8kWh battery pack is claimed to deliver a range of 203km in Eco mode. The 4.5kW electric motor can deliver a peak torque output of 72Nm and achieve 0-40kmph acceleration in 2.95 seconds.
The colour palette includes four options – Namma Red, Azzure Blue, Grace White, and Brazen Black. The feature list comprises four riding modes (Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic), a seven-inch touchscreen with 4G and Bluetooth connectivity, and full-LED lighting.
